anyone have their CarLinKit die? Mine kicked the bucket Tuesday night. Completely unresponsible. Tried to re-install per original instructions, but nothing. Car doesn't recognize that there unit is attached so the MMI doesn't display the startup/configuration screen. Connecting my iPhone via the physical cable brings CarPlay right up on MMI so its not the car or iPhone. Ordered a new one via Amazon to see if that "solves" the issue.

BTW, Amazon is delivering these within a couple days now with Amazon Prime....or so the
product page product page
claims. There is also a $20 coupon for a purchase price of $129.99.

Did you try reaching out to the company for a warranty claim? Perhaps they can help you out

No, not yet. Its been ~1/2 year so not sure if warranty applies still. Complicating things is my email client had issues a few weeks ago and all records of the purchase were deleted (along with all my other electronic receipts/proofs of purchase)...

I think it should at least have one year warranty.

By the way, this is the latest firmware (2020.01.22.2233) on my Carlinkit. Is that the same for everyone?

that is strange. I checked it a few times and it says it’s the latest. 🤔

Any chance there can be different versions of this thing, therefore different firmware?

This is my latest firmware. It’s possible there are multiple devices. I remember they were updating almost daily and then the updates just suddenly stopped
