mini didn’t show it in the mmi. But it I could see it on my phone.
there was an adaptation that was use same sssid for 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
mine is set to no.
the mmi only shows the network as audi_mmi but the phone now sees audi_mmi_5ghz as well.

I will need to see if my adaption has that 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and see what it is set at? Is your wireless Carplay working now?
I do not have the 5G on the phone either.

yes it’s work flawlessly , but mine is the 2020 mib3 on an a4.
ive seen it working on A6 and A7 as well though.

Thanks for the suggestions and help, however that 2.4-5G control unit/ adaption is not present, cable for me!

Tried it on my 18 S5 and 2 19 S5, all were unsuccessful. However, tried it on a 2020 A4 works, but it’s a little buggy. Cheers to the gentleman who found it the coding! I’ll be sticking with my carlinkkit (ubc shiny version)

your welcome. Just out of interest what are you saying is buggy ? Mine working great. Automatically connects without having to do anything. Had no problems running / streaming music with google maps / .
only niggle is the car speaking the mobile is still in vehicle when I turn off the ignition whilst it’s still in my pocket. ( IVe now disabled that. )

When you hit the allow Apple car play sometimes it would just stick and never flip to the wireless car play. When I would try plugging it in after was not working as well. All of this could just be human error, I was trying to stress it out as much a possible.

Not sure that this fits in here but wanted to share that my iPhone 12 pro works with 2019 q7 using ugreen 90 degree usb to lightning cable. Perfect fit in phone box, after testing multiple cables.

Anyone else having an issue with updates getting stuck at 90%? I got one of these for Christmas and have been trying to update it. The update his 90%, the unit reboots (I assume because my MMI screen goes black, then it goes through the connection process) but my iPhone still shows the update at 90% and it still shows an update available.

Yes. I contacted CarPlay and they sent a file to load onto a USB.
