Has anyone received this error before? It works perfectly for about a day or two. Now, the app gives this error when using a command (lock/unlock/start/stop/trunk release), however, my Audi RS5 still performs the command. Drone said to do a restart and gave me directions, but none of it helped.

I have Verizon for my phone carrier, and it's decent for my area, not sure about AT&T's coverage. I'll give it a try.

At this point, I advise all installers to stop and take pictures of the serial numbers of the X1 device, and the Compustart module. They both come with little cards that bear the serial numbers.
Also, remove the SIM card from the back of the X1 device and take a picture of it. It has a 20 digit ICCID number on it and you'll need the last 6 digits of it later.
For the X1 Max device, meant for US only, the SIM will be an AT&T SIM. If AT&T is not available in your area, then you can switch to a VZW SIM, that must be ordered through Drone Mobile. A typical Verizon SIM won't work! No other carriers will work in the US.

I finally got it working. I had to unplug everything from the idatastart module and replug everything while holding in the button on the idatastart. Then I turned on the ignition and did not see any lights so I held the button in for 60 seconds. That gave 1 red and 1 green light. I turned the ignition off, started the engine, waited 15 seconds and held the brake. Next I hit lock lock lock and I finally got 2 blinks on the hazard lights for the first time. I released the brake and turned the engine off and pressed lock lock lock (very slowly) and it started! I tested the drone mobile app and it works too so I am very happy. I think I needed to reset the idatastart because it was used on my 2018 S5. I guess holding in the button for 60 seconds resets it.

LOL I was asking myself the same thing -- Or if there will even be another year of the A4/S4 period since the even model numbers are supposed to be only for EVs and odd numbers for ICE and hybrids.
