hey both of my headlights are broken, so i was wondering if i can put set of 2000 a6 HID headlights without loosing self leveling feature? i already found out that fitment is same and they will work, im just worried about self leveling feature

They should work just fine...just stay in level 2.

If they are from an allroad they will work fine. However, if from another A6, not so much. The allroad has a 4th connection to the left leveler which is connected to the suspension system leveling. I don't believe the A6 has that. It's the reason all those aftermarket headlamps with the LED DRL's won't work on the allroad.

i see, but doesn't A6 use the same way to level the lights trough the sensors on the suspension?

Nope. The A6 doesn't have air suspension, so there is no suspension leveling.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
The allroad, though A6 based, is really an entirely different car in many respects.

Maybe an A6 Avant might use the same self-leveling Xenons as the allroad.

I do know that our 2000 A4 Avant had the self-leveling Xenon lights, but our 2000 A6 sedan did not have self leveling Xenons.

Nope. No suspension leveling on the A6, Avant or otherwise. Sorry. I was looking at the replacements with the LED DRL's but discovered that they are not allroad compatible. One member actually bought a set from LLTEK and returned them because he couldn't get them to work with suspension leveling. The still do the headlight leveling at turn-on, but when you change from L1 to L3 they will not adjust. No connection for that function.
