I've been driving 4 days with the 00032 'sport' mode coding in the TCU and I certainly can feel a difference. Normally, I drive in TIP mode about 40-50% of time so I can have more control over upshifts, etc. But, with 00032, I am liking non-TIP mode more as it is more responsive to upshifts when I want it. Peppy!
I have a 2001 so not sure of felt results on newer year models.
I recommend this mod to all.

Can't recall if the '02 has tip buttons on the wheel, but on my '02 with 00032 my tip buttons override drive and pop into tip mode for 10-15 seconds.

and allows the trans to hold 1st in Tip until redline. The change can be done by anyone with a VAG program in about 5 minutes.
Take a look at uber_ar's allroad FAQ's for more info.

2001 models do not allow the steering wheel controls to temporary shift on the fly (temp-TIP I called it) even if your gear selector is in "D". 2002-2005 allows, after the 00032 code, to temporary downshift using the MFSW shift buttons even while in "D". I think it's a 10-12 second hold if you want then the TCU goes back to automatic regular 'sport' shifting.
