Default 03 Allroad Vibration at 60+ MPH

Hello All-

I am looking for some help....

My 2003 Allroad is having an issue I am having a hard time fixing. I am getting a pretty good vibration at 60+ MPH. I have had both front axles replaced (which helped a lot), wheels and tires balances, aligned.

I have also removed the air suspension for the conversion from arnott.

What other problems could be causing the vibrations?

thanks in advance

Nick

Could be bent wheels, control arms, tie rod assembly (outer and/or inner), or even your drive shaft support bearing.

How to check for all those problems:

Bent wheels?
Shop.

CA's and TRE's?

Drive Shaft Support Bearing?
Get under the car, drop the heat shield from the exhaust and see if you can shake your drive shaft.
Any clunking going on?

Check the lower control arms, ive heard this is a common cause of vibration at higher speeds that is often overlooked until people replace everything else...

May sound silly...but, check around the inside of your wheels. Not where the air is...behind the spokes. They sometimes put your weights there. However, I had a bad shake around 60 or so----turned out to be a clump of asphalt from a construction zone. I happened to see it, scraped it off, shake gone. Happens in the winter sometimes with ice and snow also.

I got the shakes too and think it is my Lower CAs, they don't look that great. Will be installing KMacs there, will report results.
