Somehow I hardly use the lovely AR for daily commute in these past two months. The 97 Caddy had been sitting in driveway since I got the AR. This time the deep freeze & the snow , so the AR comes to the show. It is always a good feeling to drive the AR especially on the snow roads. I haven't been in this forum for a while, here are some update scenarios-
1) The 4.2 engine does work ok in regular gas, just like the manual says on page 130. I use 93 & 87 seperately for a period of time. I found very slight difference.
2) For 04 model the routine service is now 5000 miles. The items include filterelem, washer, engine oil, & top fluid. Oh, the wash of the car.
3) At 5500 the mpg is 16.5 with 28 mph. Mostly local & city driving.
4) At 5500 miles after I picked it up from dealer's lot on 7/29/03 the car is as solid as new and feel like too. Around 2000 miles I got the bad cell, and a bad rear leveling sensor, both replaced by dealer. No more problems since then.
