Default 05 Allroad NAV

Appreciate any help with the following question. The dealer indicated that the Allroad Nan system also doubles as an MP# player by sticking a cd-rom with mp3's into the in dash dvd slot and/or using the sdcad slot behind the nav screen. Is this true? I wasn't able to witness this firsthand since none of the cars on the dealership floor had nav. Thanks,

Default From what I've learned.. no..

The nav + in the 05 is DVD Based it also has the SD Card slots behind the screen that you can use for MP3's. It is also supposed to have a multi disc player in the glove box.

Default Yes, if it's a late build with Nav+ (more)

The window sticker on ours only said "dvd nav," but the unit in the car says "Nav Plus" and it will play normal mp3 files on sd cards, or a cd with mp3 files if you take out the nav dvd. The cd changer is NOT in the glove compartment. It's in the left rear just in front of the tail light.

I would not buy one expecting Nav+ without seeing it first.

Default Re: Actually

Thanks. Just one other follow-up question. Sounds like there is 2 different systems out there depending on when it was built, yes?
