This is my third Allroad after owning a 2002 and 2005 and seems to be giving me more problems than the other two. I just posted about a door ajar electronics issue. Here are two more:
1. I also need to replace the struts for the rear hatch. Found these OEM replacements online and they almost seem to cheap to be true.

Anyone have any experience with these guys?
2. Air suspension probs which I believe trace back to the compressor. Is this a major operation to change and are there any OEM compressors out there that will work well at a better price than Audi?
Thanks! And Merry Christmas!

Arrnott Industries sells the OEM compressor new for bout $400. The procedure to R& R the compressor is also located on their website (PDF). Appears to me it can be changed out with suspension set on level 4 (no vehicle lift required) within bout 1 to 1.5 hrs. Easy pickings lol.

Regarding rear hatch struts, I would only buy OEM or those rated heavy duty. The biggest problems with the lower quality units is that they function fine for a short time, then give out completely on in bout a year or so. Not worth the savings if you have to replace them again and again.
