Default 2004 A6 allroad 2.5 V6 TDI

Part of the service schledue states "Final drive (automatic gearbox): checking oil level, topping up with oil if necessary"

Where do I find the oil plug to check the level? If it is where I think it is (just next to the front right axel where it leaves the gearbox) how on earth do I get access to loosen the nut?

hi the oil plug for the gear box is on the sump. you got 2 oil plugs on it, 1 flat to the sump is for drain and 1 a bit more inside the sump is for top up.cheers

But you must remember (!!!) Oil level in gearbox could be check in warm condition (not less 38 degrees Celsius) and with working engine.
