2004 Allroad2.7T OR A6 2.7T manual
Looking to buy, but cant decide on the Allroad or A6 2.7T. Pass forums mention sticky clutch for the Allroad? Any comments from 2003-2003 owners?

Unless you are handcuffed to a requirement for an auto, the choice is between the 6sp in either car
There is no sticky clutch or other reason to suffer with the lame Tip. The allroad is geared a little lower and is a bit heavier so it feels a different from the A6, but it is enjoyable to drive. Your question should boil down to utility: do you need ground clearance? Do you need the rear cargo area? Can you use the roof rack?

Re: 2004 Allroad2.7T OR A6 2.7T manual
2003 2.7T 6spd here checking in -- love this car, wish the 4.2 could be had with a manual or the DSG or perhaps even the 6spd tip -- but I have had 4 Audi tiptronic equipped cars -- I say this NOW, subject to new information that may come down the pike at some future time:
no more Audi 5spd tiptronics will ever darken my door. And I say this knowing that they are similar to the BMW's and Mercedes auto transmissions, which is they are generally considered to be "good" and reliable units.
They suck all the life, not to mention the power, out of the 2.7T engine. They are passable with the V8 (I have had three of them with V8's attached) -- but once you drive the manual, all it does is make you long for the V8 w/stick all the more.
Waaaaaah!
Yes, I'll have some cheese with that. . .
