Default 2005 Allroad 4.2

just hit 24,000 miles on my 2005 allroad 4.2 and this is what I have:
-Intense vibration over 50 mph
-Burning a qt. of oil ever few hundred miles (not every 1000 miles)
-"dipped beam" sensor every few minutes while driving, but all the lights work.
-Coolant leak, sensor comes on every week, always addding antifreeze, dealer replaced several parts, still defective.
-Defective catalytic converter, smels like rotten eggs, tried every premium fuel in the world ,AOA won't authorize repair.
-No air bags working, sensor light is on. Dealer can repair some time next month.
-Lied to by Ray Drainville, regional service rep of Audi of America, this vehicle qualified under the New York State Lemon Law last year, he promised to reimburse me for 3 months of lease, paymnets provided I don't file for the lemon law. This was last year and I still didn't get the check in the mail and he hasn't returned several calls. He even gave this to me in writting. Lets talk face to face Ray!!!!!
-I refuse to let my wife and two young children travel in this dangerous vehicle, I bought them a Volvo XC90 V8 which is safe and dependable(100% perfect).
-This vehicle is going to be driven throughout Long Island and parked outside of every Audi dealership with lemons and a list of the defects written on the glass.

Default IIRC..you have had these problems no only with the allroad..

but similar ones with your past Cayenne too?
Who has been doing your service? Legend? Beiner? Anchor?

While mine is 2.7T, I'm at 105K miles. With no probelms as are most of the allroaders here.
I thin its time for you to send a polite certified letter to the CEO of Audi.

Legend destroyed the Cayeene S. Legend serviced the allroad 6 or 8 times, the coolant issue was attempted by Huntington several times too. My SL500 and XC90 V8 are flawless and are a pleasure to own. Every vehicle from Legend has been a disaster.

Bummer and good luck. Have you tried a different dealer to see if they could help you out?

Default so as we have all said..its the dealer not the car..

Bring it Mike D at Anchor. They have been consistently tops, not only for me but most everyone who goes there.

Explain everything and they will help you out.

mine is beyond repair. too many issues in such a short time. We have 0 confidence in this car, we don't put our children in it, and we wouldn't even drive it to the city. aoa should supervise the dealerships, preventing redundant repairs. I had an agreement with Ray Drainville from aoa and he outright acted fraudulantly. I hired an attorney who specializes in automobile manufacture litigation. This is not about $$, it is about principal. I want as many people as possible to know about how aoa does busines.

Default Your is an issolated case...

I have found AoA a wonderful company to work with Name another company this size that allows you total access to their CEO. AoA GAVE me an extention of my new car warranty to 100,000 miles. All because I started at the top and politely and professionaly worked one on one.

While some see it as good Press, (it is) the CEO of Audi even came to this board and publicy let us know he is intouch with our issues. In one case a buy back was the result.

Your situation sucks. Good luck with the legal aspect as now you are in for the long haul.

Default Paulroad is right....

The dealer is the problem not the car...

I have service my Audis with Audi Newton Motorsport (vW, Audi Posrche) and I have the best time with my cars. Like you I have a 2005 allroad 4.2 with about 23k and the car is a pleasure to drive. No issues so far. Same with my 6speed CPO...

Not the car.... but the dealer....
