Anyone with a 2005 Allroad? Can anyone check their owners manual to see if it has an Event Data Recorder? The info should be in your owners manual (see index event data recorder). I looked it up for a 2006 A3 and it doesn't have it. EDR aka Black Box.

Audi would not add it in the final year's run of the model if it was not included in earlier years.

yes I do, and yes it is.
Why someone would say "if it was not included in earlier years they would not put it in the last year" I have no idea.
I have the OEM DVD Navigation that was only available to late model 2005's, anywho....
There is a seperate sheet of loose papers included with my manueal about the EDR that address the collection of the data, can't remember what it said.

adding it at an extra cost to the manufacturer who can't charge extra for it, not as adding it to the manual (at little to no cost). Afterall, Audi de-contented (deleted standard features altogether) models a bit during the C5 production run.
