235/55-17 Pirelli PZero Nero M&S on stock double spoke rims...how are they doing for you?
I've seen a post that they fit fine. Who's got them? How are they wearing? Despite my hatred of Pirellis, they seem like a very good tire for the price, especially for those of us with 17" wheels that want a wider footprint than 225's. My other alternative I'm considering is 245/50-17 Dunlop SP5000's.

What about the Michelin Pilot Sports?
Seems a few have had trouble with them, but overall response has been very positive on the board. At 235/55 what is the speedometer error? Not crazy about that prospect as I look at the need for new tires in the near future.

For 235/55's yes, but only a little bit. It's not like you'd be stranded...
...you'd just not want to go very far or very fast on the spare. There's only about a 1.5% difference in diameter between a 225/55 and 235/55. 245/50's are practically the same diameter as 225/55's so there wouldn't be any problem there.
