I tried doing the 402 mod tonight. I was able to do channel 1, but then when I moved to channel 2, it gave the old Error N/A message. I tried going back many many times, and it will not get past CN 1. When I checked for fault codes it came back with "01437 Control Position Not Learner 35-00-- ".
I tried clearing the code and nothing happened.
Please help I am stuck in limp mode!
I have a fully registered version of VAG.
Thanks for any help!

Important! Turn the car off and back on, let the engine run to ensure enough Voltage, get the car in Jack mode and re-enter (or better restart) the VAG.
Channel 02 is your front right susp. sensor, you may have a faulty sensor if that happens again.
Let the car through its channel 1 routine for a self level into position 2, do not mod (leave the current 402 value) test it and save it.
If accepted change to channel 02 an try the same thing, go through all channels incl. channel 05.
Don't forget to add a leading "0" into the field so it shows "01".
Ingore the error message for channel 05 and your DTC should be gone.

I restarted the computer, took it for a test drive, I got it to start letting me change the ride height while driving, even thought he level control lock light was still on the dash.
The only thing I didn't do is put it into jack mode (is that by just holding both buttons down?).
How can I find if I have a bad airbag thing?
All I want is for my car to look like yours!

jack mode is pushing the two buttons together for about 5 seconds, this may be the only way to get the DTC out of the system.
My car is 18 front 14 rear, 360 Horsies are supported by LaBree Down pipes, Supersprint Exhaust, modified Air intake, Dahlback Chip, Div. Valves. and so on. Nothing major ;-)

Do it in Jack mode !!! You'll find out if your sensor is toasted if the channel doesn't accept your change (within limits, go by 5-7mm increase to make sure).
I had this happen with one sensor, car did not even accept 2mm changes.

it went back to the dealer several times for this problem...and resulted in the replacement of the control module...the electronic circuit.
the dealer needs to reset the control position and re-program the entire module. it is a major pain in the butt, even for them.

and the car will not change ride height until you have driven for a bit. This issue also affects the EPS and ABS. I will look for my paperwork and the repair codes they needed to finally get the problem fixed, but what it comes down to is a problem with the module itself...not the airbag or sensor...it is the flash programming that get's jacked up and locks up the system.
My car had this problem 4 times, and was at the dealer quite a bit for this issue......
