Hi there, I have decided to raise my allroad slightly as I find the lowered setting to floaty even with gen ll airbags and bilsteins on all corners.
Unfortunately my brain isn't coping with the figures.
I lowered the car 12 months ago 418 on the front and 417 on the rear. I would now like to raise by 12 on all corners, is it as simple as just typing in 390.
Sorry in advance if it is that simple.

by entering a 390 it will raise the car 12mm. With your numbers given of 418 and 417 your car is dropped 16mm in front and 15mm in the rear. After your 390 entry your car will be sitting at 4mm/F and 3mm/R lower than the stock setting of 402mm.

so to get it back to stock 402 I need to enter 384 front, and 385 rear.
And to raise it a further 10mm I would need to enter 374 and 375 ?
Do the numbers entered just get bigger and bigger then, and is there some way to restore the normal 402 without going through the process ?

i have done it. just measure the distance between center of the wheel and a plastic flare above the wheel. enter this number into VAGCOM screen. dont rush, let it adjust for 30 sec between measurements

you are 16mm lower in the front, you will need to raise it the 16mm to do that you subtract 16 from 402 which is 386 for both fronts and a 377 for both rears.
Those numbers should set you back to the original 402. If I was you I mould take a measurement at all 4 corners. The 402mm dimension is measured for the center of the wheel vertically to the bottom edge of the wheel opening (yes on the edge of the flair) front and rear.
once you have all corners back at 402, to raise another 10mm you will enter a 392. Which is 10 lower than 402 and raises the car (because the computer is reading the 392 and realizes the car is down 10mm so it will raise it up to get back to where it thinks the 402 is.
