can some one please explain what the 628 relay is? I know the 605 relay removal, but have not heard of the 628 replacement.

628 relay= Newer version of the 605 relay... changed in 2002 or 2003.

is there much of a difference in no relay Vs. the 628 Vs. the 605?

I pulled my 628... need slightly stronger arms at slow speeds but I prefer it

deserves to be yanked out just as much as the 605 relay.

My 03 had the 605 is I remember correctly and it was way to light pre-pull. My 04 is half way between and I will not pull my 628.

the 605 relay severely "overboosted" the steering, and the 628 replaced 605 so that it wasnt quite as "boosted." a good middle point between 605 and no servotronic.

my dad drove my 01 without the 605 relay and might have me remove the 628 on his 03, because he liked it so much.
