450 hp not enough?
Quote from Audi news release......
"The engine range will be extensive. You won't be able to buy the 500bhp 4.2-litre twin turbo featured in the show car, but do expect a 450bhp 48-valve W12 or possibly - so as to differentiate it from the Touareg that also uses that engine - a 5.0-litre V10. Less extravagant petrol engines include a 3.2-litre FSI 24-valve V6 of 240bhp and a 4.2-litre 48-valve V8 of 345-bhp. Diesel motors will include a 215 bhp 24-valve 3.0 V6, a 275bhp 32-valve 4.0 V8 and possibly a 6.0 V12 with 400bhp and over 700lb ft of torque (pulling force)."

Re: Avent
I love my all road, but in reality I just need to stay "on the road". I love the allroad interior, exterior and quattro. An Avent would work wellf or me if they discontinue the allroad.
I never thought I would ever get an allroad. I remember seeing it when introduced at the NY car show thinking, "who in the hell......." Then could not take my eyes off it. Then I got it!
A few months ago, just shopping, lookin for a sedan, I saw mine just sitting there, and drove it, and boom, Got it! Lots of great stuff on the market, I got 36 months to decide! Im not ready to go over 50 grand just yet. Pikes just looks too out there, but lets see the real execution, and see how the bug bites!

Edmunds also says the 2.7T engine is staying in the new A6...don't believe everything you see...
If it does come, I would be a lot of money that it will not receive any V8 twin-turbo. More likely either the V6 or 3.7L V8, plus the 4.2 V8, plus possibly the V10TDI. No twin-turbo V8s though.
