Default ADR 20x8.5 et 20 and 35 wheels on ebay. Any thoughts?

Was wondering if anyone knew anything about these wheels and if they would fit my 2001 allroad? They are the ADR 42 M-classic. I liked the look with the silver inside and chrome lip.
They offer an et of 20 and 35.
On the ebay page it tells me the et of 35 is for 2001-2002 allroads. And the et of 20 is for the 2003-2005.
Are the brakes or anything else different on the 01-02's compared to the 03-05's?
I assumed all the allroads had the same set ups.
Id like to get the et of 20 then I could go without getting spacers because the wheel would be farther out than the stock wheel with an et of 25, which is what Id like. Then spacers could be eliminated.
I wanted RS6 reps but no one has them in stock for a month or so and Id like to get my wheels on before the summer. I live in the south so I can pretty much run the wheels year-round, plus it doesnt seem like anyone has a 20" set-up so it would be different.

Default Nice looking wheel. Great price. Dealer has a good score...

Not sure I would care to keep the brake dust off of them. The no spacer offset is nice. ADR are sold by a number of reputable dealers. The return policies on the eBay dealer are pricey. Check for tires before you buy, they can be very expensive.

See 'em here..

Default Not sure about the offsets since the wheels is an 8.5?

They say the et of 20 is for 03-05 allroads and the et of 35 is for the 01-02's. So im not sure which one would be the best fit. Id like to not have to buy spacers but if I did Im ok with it. I guess Id go with 15mm spacer to bring it out to an et of 20, if I had to get the et of 35 20x8.5 wheel.

Default 19"x 8.5" X 25et with 255 tires work with a 3mm spacer on front..

Why they feel there is a difference in years is a mystery, or scary. The 20mm offset should be perfect. Sleeper2.7 is the only one on the forum running dubs I know of.

http://www.allroadfaq.com/pages/wheeltire.htm</a

Default Does anyone know if there is a difference in brakes or anything else for all the years of allroads?

I like that wheel and the et of 20 would be perfect. Sleeper2.7 is running the same size wheel in an et of 35 but wasnt sure if he had spacers or not? Im not sure on the 8.5 maybe having an effect where you dont need spacers.

Default Nultiple problems with that wheel. First, offset (25 in ad) won't fit, I speak from experience.....

The ad says et25 not et 20, and you'd need to get into the et 18-20 range at minimum. Tried my old 18x8.5 et35 wheels with 8mm spacers (et 27) and they weren't even close. Hit the struts before seating on the hub. So this et25 wheel will need at least a 10mm spacer. Don't believe H&R makes a hubcentric 10mm for our cars. Any flat spacer will just cause problems.

Second, Audi is 57.1mm bore, while mercedes is 66.56. So I hope they are providing the correct custom made centering rings to make the wheel hubcentric to an Audi. It's possible the wheel is drilled even larger and just needs centering rings for either Audi or MB which then would be fine.

Nice looking wheel though. Wonder how much it weighs.

Default Not sure where you saw et of 25? They only make et of 35 according to their website.

On ebay they have 2 sets listed. One for 01-02 allroads and then another listing for 03-05 allroads, both the same wheel one states an offset of 20 for 03-05, and the other is offset of 35 for 01-02. I guess it has to do with it being 8.5" wide? Thanks for your help, still trying to understand all this wheel information.

Default On the link I provided... 'Ed, have you run 19 or 20's yet? Me thinks..

the spacer requirements change with diameter. As I have shared many times my 19"x8.5" clear fine with an offset of 25. Good beta on the bore issue.

clear fine
