Default Air compressor replacement?

Hello,

I've got a few questions for the experts.

A few weeks ago my suspension light came on my dash while I was driving home. I pulled the code for it, and I searched the forums for it. The consensus was that it was a level sensor or the control block. I didn't have the time to mess with it more and the next day the light went out so I left it alone. (I didn't forget about it though.)

(BTW the level seems to be holding fine at 1 but it won't go up and the front looks a bit low.)

This morning on the way into work the suspension light on the dash was blinking not just on and the level switch is blinking at level 1. I checked to see if I could hear the air compressor this morning, but I didn't hear it.

I suspect that compressor has gone out, but before I get a new one does anyone have any advice on how I can verify my theory?

(I need to check the fuse, but is there also a relay that could have gone out?)

Thanks!

27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

01400 - Suspension Level control

I took the cover off of the compressor and gave it a few taps with a hammer and that seemed to have get it running again. I'm back to level 2 now.

Question: Should I attempt to rebuild or just buy a new compressor? Maybe a couple shots of 3 and 1 oil and I'm good for another 100K ?
