I always loved Trans Ams & Z28s. Was sad to see them go, but kinda knew they'd eventually come back.
This style is OK I guess. I'd have to see one in person to know for sure.

Joked with the sales manager at the time that the S4 was like they took my A4 and Z28 out back, grinded them up, and brought out the S4 Avant...and then some!! I would love to replace it with the same, but my fully loaded '01 MSRP'd for $45k. With the new S4's pushing $60+k for a fully loaded one, I might just be looking at cheaper options next time around. In as much as I like the new S6, and if they bring it here to the US, I fear I'll really suffer from sticker shock.
As well, I've still got my first car I bought back in 1979; a '67 RS SS Camaro. I've got a soft spot for the muscle car era and the Camaro, and I think Chevy has done it justice with the concept. It won't be an Audi, but I imagine it will be a relatively affordable sport coupe. What I would really like to see for us boomers and GenX'ers is a coupe that looks sporty from the outside, but uses styling tricks to allow for a larger rear seat and legroom...then I can justify having one with kids.
I seriously considered the Magnum R/T AWD before picking up my '05 4.2, but I just couldn't get by the inferior materials. If they were to put AWD under the SRT8 versions, I might consider one more seriously.
One thing is for sure; with the sorry state of GM and Ford, they need to get people back in their cars with performance and styling. Not necessarily retro, but just plain good ideas. Chevy has taken the pushrod V8 so much further than anyone ever thought...I'd just like to see some good choices of product that GM can slide it in to.
I'm still guessing I'll have at least one Avant of some type for the forseeable future; the cars are just too well designed, fun, sporty, and functional as hell.
