paid for it in maintenance and upkeep though, and it performed flawlessly and was great to drive.

getting into! Non-Audi folks probably would not be interested in used allroads anyway...

many things are poor design/execution like the Tip TC, like the rubber button coating, etc.
Other things are just their nature: CV Joints, air spring abrasion, shocks, steering parts, etc.

based on normal wear and tear and parts that break!!!!!!! I've been following the posts on this board for a month or two and I read so much crap to the effect of "I can't believe it, my car has 100,000 k on it and I had to replace the cv joint or the shocks or a chipped it and no my TQ blew up, etc...." 90% of what you mentioned is **** that needs to be replaced on almost any american/euro car with high miles. I DO NOT argue the fact that allroads may require more than the average euro sport car but lets get realistic. You stiffen up the chassis, ad sway bars, chip the car so now a car enginered for 250 hp has 300+ going through it, the ball joints,cv joints and suspension are taking more stress then holy ****!! parts start to wear out. I'm curious what you would have expected to be normal, not replacing any of those parts is unrealistic for most any car except hondas etc.. but if we wanted a honda then we wouldn't be here would we? :>

These cars have a really bad rap among many from posts of undecribed things breaking, I just think that many odf the parts replaced are not unique to the allroad at certain milegaes so to make a claim that they will cost you quite a bit to maintain isn't fair in some respect, the problem is with AOA and their pricing, thats why I am looking for a totalled allroad for parts car, couple options in my area.
