I know this is an audi biased thread but can someone give a comparison with the other all-wheel drives available in the same class, namely BMW AWD, Mercedes 4Matic.

That was fun to watch, but since I can't speak German, I wonder about the tires used - were they the same on all the vehicles? A good set of snow tires could have made all the difference..........I also noticed they didn't try the MBZ 4matic or the Subaru......
Still, when the snow gets bad around here, I drive the Allroad!

there was a ton of talk about thit same video on the volvoxc forum.
the main beef everyone had is that the drivers didnt seem to give the other cars a chance to try and make it up the hill, only the allroad.
i honestly believe that if all the cars had decent snow tires and drivers who gave a crap about what they could do, i bet most of those vehicles could make it all the way up the hill.
i know that my old 98 xc with nokian snow tires on it was a formidable beast in the snow.
it took getting it high centered on an hillside edge in about 2 ft of snow to get it stuck.
cant wait to see this winter what the quattro can do in the white stuff.

Bmw x3
Audi q5
Volvo xc90
Volvo xc60
