My '05 needs an alignment (going in Monday) and I'm wondering what is the best level to have it aligned at? I know level 2 is supposed to be the "normal" driving level but I like the look a level 1 better. Is there any reason not to have it aligned at level 1 and drive it around at the lowest setting? Will it ride ok? More wear to the air suspension (61k with original suspension)? I live in New England and with winter approaching, will probably use the higher settings more in the next couple months. So how bad will it be to align it at level 1 and then use 2 and sometimes 3 during the winter?

ive had my aligned twice at lvl 1 for about a year with no ill affects
tire wear was good and no impact on handling.
just make sure if youll be doing a lot of hwy driving put it at lvl 1 for best tire wear

I just had an alignment done on mine since I undid the 402 mod for the winter. The shop/tech said that he always does them at level 1, sets the specs accordingly since going up is never a problem when it comes to the geometry, but going down is where the issue is.
So not sure if he is 100% correct, but it seems to make sense.
