Default allroad low mileage query for fun

My wife's 2002 allroad has 42500 mi and still looks like new inside and out (including a 3000 mile cross country relocation and a couple of 1500 mi trips). For the last 5 years, this car now gets driven about 3000 mi per year. (She works at home so no commutes). That works out to an average of 4700 mi per year since new, give or take.

I know there have been some high mileage comparison posts in the past. Conversly, can anyone with a 5-9 year old allroad claim a lower mileage based on a per year number? Just curious to see if we hold any kind of low mileage record here. :-)

Repairs:
Replaced timing belt, water pump, thermostat, tensioners, etc. at 42K (belt worn due to age vs miles)
replaced rear prop seal 41K
Audi replaced gas tank due to leak in filler tube (good will) 40K
Replaced rotors/pads around at 39K (replaced front rotors again at 42K under warranty due to premature warping)
Replaced front CV boots 39K
Repaired broken center console cup holder 37K

We just clicked over 43K on our '04, it had 9K on it when we got it and my wife drives about 5K a year so we're averaging just under 7K a year as well.

Repairs:
Brake lite switch
Rear pads

That's it! It still looks like new inside and out and runs well. I'm thinking I might be smelling a little hot oil smell after coming off the hiway, and our CPO warranty is up in Dec, so I'll be taking it in sometime in late Oct/Nov to have a thorough going over before Audi lets go of it for good.

We've deciced to make it a 10 year car for us, it still won't have 100K by then and we can't find anything we'd rather own, at least at a price we can afford. This car was an expensive present to my wife for successfully surviving breast cancer, but I doubt we could ever afford another one. The new Q's don't appeal, the new A6 Avant is well over $55K and a A4, while bigger now, is still too small feeling.

When you take the car in make sure and tell the dealer about the oil smell and specifically point out anything of concern. I know it sounds obvious, but if left to check the car on their own, service may not look closely enough.

Case in point: My indy saw oil seepage months ago when I had CV boots repaired. My dealer service didn't see it until I pointed it out with a specific request to inspect valve cover gasket and cam adjuster seal. Once they aknowledged it, I simply informed the service manager that I thought I smelled burning oil. I was able to get both replaced prior to CPO expiration.

I picked my 2004 this past April with 35,500 miles. With ski season around the corner, it won't be low miles for long.
