30,000 ON 2005 4.2. have been putting about 6000 mi per year for last few. Car is in excellent condition. Had to replace valve cover gaskets under warranty (extended until 100,000 or 5 years).

2003 6 sp, cloth and no sunroof with 27K and change. A bit of a car/motorcycle addiction keeps the mileage pretty low on any one vehicle.

Curious as to how you detected the age problem with the timing belt at 42K miles which prompted the replacment.

Both my local dealers recommended replacement at 80k or 7 year mark...which ever comes first. I had mine done @47k as my dealer cut me a deal because they had the car in the shop for thermostat repair.

My 2002 went to allroad heaven at 98K but am taking a serious look at this 4.2 for sale in Jersey:

Nice guys !! Anything under 100K isn't even broken in IMO.

Mine has 180,000 miles now and there's friggen' nuttin' newer that comes close to being a replacement (from within a reasonable cost point perspective), except for maybe an 04' or 05' V8 allroad.
