I would think that this is weight related.
2 is the general... HOME setting. If you are at maximum tow weight this is where you should be,, given road, bumps, etc. The fact that we lowered via 402, won't make much difference to the trailer. Keep in mind that the trailer and hitch should be level when connected. The OEM hitch may take this and the height setting of postion 2 into consideration.

GROUP BUY???
I watch this site regularly and only saw 2 or 3 mentions of the group buy - I sent an email saying I wanted in and you guys dropped me from the loop - I completely missed out! What a bummer!

We didn't drop anything.
Instructions were posted here to order the part via vlairparts web. In the "comments" field note that you are part of the allroad/audiworld group buy. 5 of us took part, so I don't think any ball was dropped. If you are interested, perhaps you should e-mail to barry@clairparts.com to see if he will allow the 5% discount for you.
