Default allroad in WTC wreckage

This moved yesterday. Don't know if anyone here saw it. The suspension looks as if it's been compressed somehow.

Default That could be the ar of a former forum member...

"davidnyc"...there were some postings soon after 9/11 regarding him. Do a search on his name and you'll find quite a bit of related info...

That is five blocks from my apartment. Very scary to think about it.

But sadly I don't think he ever got his allroad. He, davidnyc, was very serious about buying/leasing one but I don't recall him actually getting one. (I could be mistaken, I wasn't real active on the list during that timeframe, being in serious withdrawal and I could have missed it).

it sure brings some of the sadness back to the forefront though ...

Default Yeah, that's not his...he never had one...but it made me go back and look at some...

of his old posts as he was choosing between the allroad, XC, and Subaru...some choad dave6 starting ripping on the allroad, and davidnyc, myself, and a bunch of others got into quite a fun fray...unfortunately, just 5 days before Sept 11, I think that might have been my last "conversation" with davidnyc

davidnyc, dave6 and a bunch of others mixing it up

Default I do remeber that exchange...

"You made it all the way to the end of that one; I'm impressed with your persistence "

that got me going...

~~~~~
it is also amazing that I sit here 1800 miles away and the impact is still quite direct. a sign of our interconnected world I guess.
and all it takes is a picture to bring it all back.
Default Yeah, kinda ugly...
my pics of my car in Yosemite are actually from Sept 10th...we left on the 11th after waking up to the news...didn't feel like sightseeing anymore...I'll always remember the day we went to Yosemite.
On the bright side...at least you guys know your allroads can stand up to psychopath-et-ic suicide murderers...take that you f*ckers!!!
