PES is looking for an allroad to test fit a system at a reduced purchase price for both the Stage I or II versions.
The AWE/VF supercharger is supposedly close to introduction as well. Yet to hear whether they'll be offering a version for the allroad.

Had the PES G2 Supercharger on my B5 A4. If I had to do it all over again, wouldn't, particularly with a tip transmission. It was fun having a somewhat exclusive car and the hardware was very well engineered, but way too many software issues. Besides, with the size & weight of the allroad, as much as we all love more power, not sure why in the world we would need that much power on such a heavy wagon. The 340 hp you can get from an APR chip is more than I already know what to do with. These aren't sports cars we are driving.

I'm not interested either. Car is my daily driver...and I reserve this kind of stuff for my weekend car. I'm in total agreement with you--there are much better platforms to start with if racing around is your thing.
Among the B6/B7 S4 guys, it looks like the AWE/VF supercharger appears to be the favorite between the two. Claims are that software is better prepared (which goes along with what you're saying). We'll see.
I'm still waiting to come off warranty before I go with the APR flash. Like you said, that will be plenty of power for my daily driver.
As for the tip, the same one we have backed up the RS6...so I would think you should be good to Stage I on the PES. Stage II would worry me; I think you would be pushing on the door of max torque and might be subject to some of the same failures some modified RS6 folks were seeing. I remember seeing a max torque figure on the ZF 5HP24A, I just don't remember what it was.
Still, I figured someone out there might be interested; especially for a discount and free installation.

What I found with my B5 A4 & the supercharger software was that it has become increasingly difficult to tune software for these kinds of applications with modern automatic transmissions and drive by wire throttles. Trying to dyno tune the software just doesn't seem to work optimally because of all the electronics that get in the way. Unless a dyno can fully simulate the road. it is not the way to go. With a manual transmission tuners just seem to be able to get the software closer to optimum. That was my experience with my B5 A4, maybe things have changed since then, just not willing to take that leap again. Now if I had a manual transmissoin, sure would be tempting, but not an option in an ar 4.2.

And, there's less of a difference between a 2001 A6 4.2 and a 2004 allroad 4.2 than there is between a 2005 S4 and a 2005 allroad 4.2

interesting conversation, I really dislike the drive-by-wire, as you cannot left-foot brake (with partial throttle usage-limp mode default).
I had not viewed the tip as the problem as that is what the RS6 uses.
other comments from post I just popped but should have done this *search* first:
I am amazed at how discounted the 2002-2003 S6
values are! $12k sales, what a bargain!
So keep the car rather than sell it. H-sports, 18" hi-perf tires, BBK, so what else? 420 hp with PES supercharger kit?
Anyone familiar with PES reputation and products?
V8S6 is not my daily driver, I prefer 95.5 Avant with lots of mods less weight means it handles better and is almost as quick as V8 but entirely different engine performance profiles. Getting at least 10 lb/hp is an acceptable sweet spot for a street car (not comparing tot Ruf 3.4's here).
I won't track it, as I have two dedicated race cars. S6 is essentially an RS6 without brakes and troublesome heat producing turbos.
