Any of you know if the spare tire pan in the RS6 is the same size as the one in the allroad?

Default alternatively, any of you have a friend with an RS6?

if so can you see if the 18" inflatable spare from the RS6 will fit in the spare tire well of the allroad?

Default RS6 tire diameter is different than allroad

This gets trickier, since the 255/40-18 tire used on the RS6 is 26" in diameter, while the 245/45-18 and 225/55-17 tires on the allroad are 26.7 across. i wonder if one can buy different size inflatable spares. If this goes anywhere,I'll join you in buying a spare.

Default Dan, I have been doing a little research and here is what I have found

you are right, the RS6 diameter is different, but by the calcs I ran it was 25 revs per mile different. if using the spare only to get you to the tire store (say under 50 miles) I wonder if this wouldnt be OK. Craig at genuine audi parts can get us the inflatable RS6 spares. If they fit it might be an option for us.

what set me down this road is Vredestein tires website. there they mention they make a spacemaster inflatable in a 205/60-17 which is actually the same diameter as our stock tires.

I contacted Vredestein about where to buy one of those, and apparently you can only get them through Audi. Those must be on the new allroads and only available in europe. If we can find a source for those, we'll be all set. If anyone knows for sure what car actually uses those 205/60-17s we could try tracking them down. any ideas?
