used 7 pin round hook ups on their small trailers because they had that hook up on bigger trailers for ease of not having to use an adapter and their vehicles are wired with 7 pin round american hook ups.
if i can find an extra 13 pin hook up used in supplied allroad trailer wire hook up, i could make an adaptor for 7 pin round american.
boy, this is confusing for me to read let along someone else! : )

I have the same need. I want to tow a tent trailer that needs a 12V line in addition to the 4 wires included in the flat connector pigtail. I have been unable to source the 13 pin plug here in the U.S. It's available from several towing sites in the UK for about 8 pounds plus shipping. None of the suppliers seems to talk much about wanting to ship to the U.S., though.
Since the supplied 13 to 4 wire pigtail is actually useful, I haven't wanted to disturb it. I just wanted to buy another 13 pin plug and wire up a 13 pin to 7 pin round socket adapter that connects to the existing 7 pin plug on the trailer and supplies current to charge the trailer battery while running.

I know this is an old thread, but here is a link to solve the problem. http://eurohitch.es/index.php?main_p...products_id=44
See, in the old AW forums, I could update this thread and only someone who wants to see it would find it in the archive. Now, with this new feature, I have to irritate everyone with my update. sorry!
