And which car is better? I'd take the allroad, personally. More versatile, more unique, better interior, funky suspension...service included...etc.
$48k allroad sticker = $45k sale price...which is $4k less than your sister's cheap GS430. $4k is a lot to spend on a Levinson sound system, especially in a car that is pretty ugly Although, I admit, I actually like the GS430 even though it is ugly...it still is a pretty good car.

Though I did spend more for my Toyota Land Cruiser which has a fairly crappy stereo.

Yeah, but the SC430 is a rip at >$60k...that's a lot of stereo.

I replaced or bypassed all of the Bose system in my 2002 allroad. It was definately worth the time and effort. However - I did not have the steering wheel controls etc. I can't imagine it would be that hard to work around. I do know that the convenience of being able to adjust your volume via the steering wheel is not worth putting up with inferior sound.

Yeah I think it's kind of ugly in a way also, but guess what? Lexus as a company and I refer to their client relations is LEGENDARY in the way they and their dealer network treat customers. AoA has much to learn. I have spoken with the owners of 3 Audi stores that have backed me up and agreed that AoA client relations is atrocious and one owner went on to say that they don't treat them (dealers) any better. I will go head to head with Len Hunt and show him how to turn his client relations around. Otherwise I'd rather spend $50K + and know that someone will be there when I have a problem, better yet won't treat me like a 17 year old with a 5.0 mustang.
