a few places other than Phil Long in Colorado Springs. I haven't found the right place yet. Phil Long has great service, but they cost a fortune. I hate to drive to Broomfield, but its looking like I might. Does anybody have anyone they like?
Uridil Foreign: very nice people, but they admit they don't have much experience with the Allroad air suspension or replacing O2 sensors in the 2.7T.
Aspen Auto Clinic: "Don't get me started..." They attempted to replace one of the air springs, but incorrect installation meant I had to go to the dealer for a redo. The tech at Phil Long said it looked like they didn't know what they were doing.
Foreign Car Specialists: No, I don't want you removing my license plate frames and putting yours on my car. Either cheap CV axles or incorrect installation -- and a year later I have two torn boots. The tech broke the flimsy center cupholder and left the radio up loud on a station I don't listen to. Polite, nice people -- but its time to spin the wheel again.

good places that don't cost an arm and a leg? My kid's gotta eat too. $700 for a driveshaft (prop?) seal? $630 for one lower control arm? $300 for oil return tubes?
I've seen a lot of your posts on here -- and I know you know a lot about these cars. But there has to be a better way!

I used to live in the springs and came to denver for service almost always. I work exclusively with a tech who just left McDonald to join the 3zero3 team named Aaron. Knowing you trust the person and being explained why things need to be done the right way should mean more than just price. Any thoughts?

the Springs about your issues. He may be able to give you a bit of a break. For example, I always get 10% discount on parts and labor for being retired military.

I've had Stammler do about $5k in work for me on my allroad, and they've been surprisingly competitive all around.
Might be worth a call/visit.

Same twin-spokes, same color, same tint. There's no question they're the best looking wagon/suv vehicles out there. But damn those repair bills!
