Can anybody comment on a difference b/w standard and Bose stereo's. I personally do 90% of my listening in the car. Does it really worth $750?

Like you I listen to most of my music while driving and I think an upgraded sound package is worth it.

For probably less money, you could change the front speakers and add an amp and have a better sounding system.

Before my AR, I had an A4. I opted not to get the BOSE, and upgraded the system myself. I spent over $1k on an amp, new front speakers and a sub, and installed it myself. It sounded awesome!! I was really impressed with myself, and gave myself an A- for the upgrade. Awesome, but not perfect.

When I got the AR, I leased it. So, I was nervous about making the custom install because the other speakers required cutting a hole. So, I opted for the BOSE. It includes a subwoofer in the system, and upgraded speakers. It's the best BOSE system I have ever heard. It really sounds almost as good as the custom setup I did. I'd give a B+ at least. Considering the difficulty of putting in a custom system, and how good the BOSE sounds, I would definitely say it's worth it. And, I am a bit of an audio freak...
