Default AR ride comfort

I recently sold my 2005 A4 Avant for a 2004 AR. So far so good, is it normal that the ride feels more SUV like than my old A4 w/ sport package? Keep in mind, the roads are in terrible shape where I live...

Feedback from respective AR owners?

Ride is usually very comfortable. What tires do you have?

Default Depends on its settings...

at least thats what I find. Only SUV like on 3-4, 2 is perfect like any good large luxury car, 1 is sporty and gives you a bit more feed back but still very nice.

The car is a CPO and was delivered with Pirelli P6 allroad tires mounted on the stock 17" wheels. Tires are not new but still have decent thread left over.

Suspension setting is at 1 (the lowest) stock.

When I got over bumps or bumpy roads, the car as that slight suv roll feel (a bit jumpy).

Again, I live in a city (Montreal) where the roads are terrible. If you ever came here for the GP, you know what I mean.

Default It's heavier, taller and more softly sprung, so you'll feel tippy compared to old ride. Those

tires are the worst, don't try to get through the winter on them (I'll be selling our snow wheel/tire package soon, BTW) and you'll eventually want to toss them once they cup and feather and make a big racket. Then, invest in good rubber and enjoy the car more.

Default I'm the wrong guy to ask. We have all-seasons, plus snows. Falkens = bad quality, belt pull

on multiple tires should not happen today. If you want performance summer tires, unlike my wife's car needed, research here.

Default BTW, I find the impact absorbtion to be fine, so you're more into sport than comfort? If so

try a set of H-sport sway bars immediately for great improvement according to all here, for relatively little money. I would try to get the black ones over the bright blue for stealth, if it were me.

Default Re: AR ride comfort

The ride is not as firm, but the suspension is so different from a common suspension car that it is no wonder.
My allroad is bit swingy too.
