It looks more robust than the OE. Works to all levels. The bottom seal is part of the unit instead of an 'O' ring, looks like it will seal better. I consider it an upgrade, and look forward to a new one on the other corner(s)!
I was ready to slime, but $300 for new with a lifetime warranty was too good to pass up. My indy charged $230 for 2 hours labor. City rates.

Congrats...
I've been working for 2 hours on trying to remove the lower bolt to install my Arnott air springs. It keeps hitting the lower control arm and I can't get it all the way out - tried turning the wheel, but to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris

Link to Kingfish's work. The tech did it while I was not there.
Someone else (Paulroad?) said "you just have to angle the assembly and twist it into place. Do it with the wheel removed from the hub."<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/allroad/msgs/216115.phtml">clicky</a></li></ul>

Yep, wheel was removed. I just got both springs out. First one took 3 hours the second one 20 minutes.
I had to pop-off the lower ball joint on the control arm. This dropped enough that I could get the bolt out. Will definitely be installing the bolt from the front when I put everything back together.
Thanks for the replies.

Fronts Now, Rear in a few months and $1000.00 coilover conversion perhaps by Spring.
$1000.00 for the coilover conversion is their target price I was told. They are developing it.

No need to take the bolt all the way out and remove air spring...
I just put in 2 new Arnott springs this weekend. I removed the upper control arm bolts at the strut (I've been to pinch bolt hell), remove the nut from the strut bolt on the lower control arm, push the bolt out until the head hits the other lower arm (your problem) and just swung the strut out of the wheel well (You can't remove the strut because the bolt is still holding it, but it can now be angled enough to work on). Then remove top plate, strut nut and slide old air spring off.
Got 135k out of the original air springs, not too bad.
