I know people are satisfied with the arnotts.
\still, do the arnotts keep the up/down functionality?
And are they stiffer or softer than the OEMs?
Any general differences?

Arnott makes a few options. you should look at their site for info.
The have a compete coilover kit (no air spring adjustability)
or a complete shot and steel spring kit (no air spring adjustability)
The alos make front and rear air springs that replace the OEM air springs and as an option a new Bilstein Shock to replace the OEM shock.
Those who have kept the stock like suspension will chime in with their feedback.
The complete replacement (coilover or spring and shock) completely changes the character of the allroad.

Thanks for the update.
by the way, I got the AR delivered to me back at home in Georgia,. And although I drove it for about 15 minutes only (Had to come back to norway for 2 months) I am extremely impressed by the driving experience.
If you remember we were discussing the transmission control unit replacement as the only thing in the service history (with down pipes and front seat removed), but the shifting was extremely smooth. The chargers give an amazing blast and the engine, while listening in and out of the car sounds pretty smooth too.
