Default Re: Audi Magellan - A7 article

Several days ago I mentioned the CAR magazine article which basically said bye bye allroad -- we barely knew ya!

This would appear to be further evidence. Shure looks like the Tuoareg to me. . .

Crap.

Default yes, it's not really "Never Follow"....

It's more like "Never Follow very closely. 10 years behind everyone is OK."

Default Audi really dropped the ball on this one!! Chrys Pacifica???

Anyone see the new Chrysler Pacifica photos?
Seating for 6 comfortably with luggage, all wheel
drive, 250 hp v6. Looks like Chrysler borrowed
some Allroad in the exterior design. Also the
dash areas are heavily influenced from the allroad.

Default Sadly, I think you'll find that "Expedition" is the same in German.....

you could set your sights lower and try "Forscher" which in German kind of means "explorer". Audi Forscher has a ring (if not four) to it.

More like "Never Start" - if the allroad isn't selling well, why would this thing take up the slack?

Default Damn straight...

...Now all they have to do is make sure the suspension (it already has air springs, apparently) can be pumped up to give it clearance for deep snow and rough terrain and, Presto!, a Super-allroad. HPH

I think I read (Autoweek?) that Audi decided not to produce it.

Default Yes, I think the UK rag Autocar also...

noted that the Avantissimo is no longer slated for production due, according to the article, to a thumbs down from AoA.

The queer thing is that a wagon version of the Phaeton is supposedly still on tap.
