Can anyone explain the function of the Aux. fan on the 2.7T (05') model?

Does anyone have specs for aux. cooling fan (right hand side)? I realize it runs off the module and the fan switch in lower hose. I believe it runs with A/C on.
Can anyone give me specs as far as temps and conditions this fan comes on? Does it have 2 speeds and when do those speeds come into the mix? The only fan that comes on with the A/C is the frontside condenser fan. Is that one suppose to come on with the A/C or the Aux fan? I cannot find this info in Bentley as of yet.

I am having a real hard time diagnosing if this fan works or not.

Direct 12V to the fan, it works fine. I replaced the module with a new OEM one. I am going to replace the fan switch as well.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance
