Complaints:
HVAC's AUTO button sticks
Brakes are Groaning
Allignment
40k Service
New HVAC Head installed warranty
New F/R Pads, New F/R Rotors installed...warranty-maint.
Tech Said Audi does not resurface rotors even in a normal brake job. Is this legit? One time rotors only? Someone please clarify.
Allignment:
Front and rear back in spec.
Here are you keys Mr. B... any questions...thank you very much, you car is in spot 6.
No hand out... nicely done..
The power as a result of the 40K seems to be back. Now its time for the wonderfully black FORGE 007 Diverters.... :-)

I asked the service writter..
When I come in for my own break job you do pads and resurface the rotors, right?
he said No...no resurfacing of the allroad rotors, they are always replaced.
Not on my $ they aren't If that is the case then I'll go aftermarket on my first self pay job..Zimmerman's or some such.

My allroad is on its third set of rotors at 40k. I know the calipers are the same as my B5 S4, but I really have to wonder about the rotors and/or pads. My S4 is still on its original set at 45k...and its driven, on average, much harder. Can't be just the weight of the allroad...it doesn't weigh THAT much more...??
I'm at a loss. Does anyone know if the allroad uses a different pad or rotor??? And if its using the same, why does it eat the living crap out of them?
I'm with you Paul; if I end up keeping this beyond warranty, aftermarket is going on it.

Few shops can properly turn rotors so they last as they're rather thin to start with nowadays, so it's generally more economical for shops to replace them rather than put up with customer complaints.

I am also on my 3rd set, but at 30k miles.
The last set lasted 7500miles.
The service tech at Stammler in Boulder said that he is not at all surprised to see 2001 AR needing new front rotors every 10k miles.
He claimed that the new set that we just received are a "new" test to attempt to fix the problem, however not enough track record yet to know if the life will be longer.
