Default basic exhaust questions

what is the function of the center resonator?

what do you gain/lose by removing it and piping straight back to mufflers? (JT and Tenacious' set up)

What do you gain/lose by replacing it with an X-pipe?

Thanks.

Default if anyone is interested got the answer to this

Resonator is to reduce/eliminate a "droning" sound inside the cabin at cruising speeds.

Default depends on what your opinions on having a loud exhaust are.

purpose of an X-pipe is to get the exhaust gasses to crossover, in effect, evening out the exhaust note/smoother flow. it balances out the pulses of the two engine banks.
