Been dealing with this over the last week...
On starup and now when the car is first rolling (first 5 minutes)... The shift lock light/relay begins clicking once per second, the three light salute (ABS, Level, ESP) stays on and the Engine MIL flashes While this is going on and then goes out when the car settles. Car goes in and out of gear.
Checked connection to the TCU and ABS and all seem good. ABS module replaced 1 year ago. I would somewhat expect the tranny to go into linmp mode if the TCU was bad. I do have a GIAC chip socketed to the TCU. I opened up the TCU to check the chip and it was nominal.

Re: I'm on my third brake light switch (by the brake pedal?). Something you might check.
I replaced that switch about 6 months ago... I certainly wasn't getting these codes then but worth a try since I have a spare switch in stock.
