I have not heard of a fix and this issue has been calming down on the threads. Arnott is going to have to offer a labor guaranty since so many folks had a bad experience. It was not worth the aggravation of battling Arnott and my indy.

The only fix seems to be the OEM shocks. Sadly...

Yup, my fix was OEM shocks. Clunk is gone and drives about the same and costs about the same. My rears are bilstein though which is clunkless there mainly due to cost of OEM shocks (and I don't care about dynamic dampening since I don't haul stuff in my AR).

http://genuineaudiparts.com/partloca...?siteid=214407 is the cheapest.

You don't need alignment.

Another allroad with the bilstein clunk.
2002 allroad, 102,000mi, I had Bilsteins put in front and back last year. Clunking in front end began a few months later. Dealer mechanic thought it was a control arm issue and those were replaced by my indy, but no improvement in clunk. As usual I found the answer here, should have checked sooner. Looks like it's back to oem.

we may have a solution!

"we have found the problem and are working on testing out the solution. If you want to send them back, we will be more than happy to give you a full refund.

Thanks
Adam "

So, what's the problem? has he specify? I doubt hat they could eliminate the clunk because of mismatch between the car weight and Bilstein design.
