Default air shock in the rear is exactly what the Bilstein engineer told me and why they would not

be making dampers for the allroad.

Default That's funny. I checked last night and didn't see them. Glad they are finally out...

I'll probably tap them within the next 30 days. can't wait.

Default Are OEM shocks gas pressure? Paulroad?

For me, the big difference is gas pressure. Bilstein shocks ride with a confident feel. I've used them for replacements since the 80's. They make a great shock that lasts a long time. They were OEM on many premium vehicles, even Vette's and off road Chevys for a while, maybe still.

Default Bisteins usually carry a lifetime warranty< I wonder if that will be the

case if these are modified to fit. I also wonder how they chose the right shock with proper dampening characteristics if bilstein didn't offer one. Regardless, looking forward to hearing how they ride and not just how they "look".

Default waiting 4 reply frm Arnott, ask 4 options, and possible group buy, wil let U all know wht I find out

Arnott is ofering a price break/discount on the Bilsteins IF you buy the complete set ($35USD savings). I have asked if they will do the same for other sets or "kits" (I.E. bags and shocks for front or rear, bags for all 4 corners, etc.) and possibly a group buy with my fellow AWer's. My front bag is fading fast, and I hope to have some answers and/or resolution before it goes perma-flat.

I will let you know what I find out, but it may not hurt for some more of those in need to press the same questions to Arnott in order to let them know the demand is there, to entice them to grease the wheel so to speak. TIA.
