Blew a Tire....

Blew out a tire last night. Of course it's in the sidewall!
BTW, the jack/compressor is really bad....
Just a tip: If you have one of those deflated spares, keep a bottle of water with the tire. Mine wouldn't take any air because the bead was dry and wouldn't seal to roll out onto the rim.
My question is: Does anyone know a good deal on a replacement? I see the Goodyear F-1 on Tire Rack, but is it the same tire?
Thanks!
Mike

Just bought a AR (it is currently on the boat right now) on Saturday and saw the tire but didnt see a cartridge to blow it up. How does the tire inflate?
I know I could wait and read the manual but curiosity is killing me.

...it's been reported to be rather crappy (like the jack) and people have talked about getting one of those Black & Decker 12V ones (or a similar model) to take along on high-risk offroad trips. HPH

I agree. The compressor does not make anything but noise and makes nothing more than a breeze. The jack is poorly designed, and if your not on an extremely hard surface, the jack slips.

In changing the tire a few things came up that I thought was interesting.
1. The compressor is not fast but not terribly slow either.
2. When the spare blows up it does so one sidewall at a time.
3. If you turn the air pump off and on to quickly the fuse blows (I now carry extra 15amp fuses)
