Brake Job for 2003 Allroad

The brake warning indicator came on in my instrument cluster this week. I'm assuming there are only sensors in the front, so it's time to change the pads and rotors.
I just looked through the Tech Articles section for a write-up for changing the brake pads and rotors for an Allroad, but I didn't see any.
Are the Allroad brakes the same as the A6? If so, then I guess this article applies: https://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel24.shtml
If not, has anyone written up the brake job for front or rear for the Allroad? If it hasn't been done yet, I'd be happy to take pics since I have a nice DSLR camera.
So, does anyone have a suggestion of where to get new rotors and good (low-dusting) pads? I'd like to consider x-drilled or slotted rotors. But if they're really expensive, I'll probably just go with solid. Ideally, I'd like to get the supplies before the end of this week since I have a long road trip planned for next weekend.
Thanks in advance!

and valued opinions I don't think slotted and/or drilled are worth it.Solids worked for 92k on the originals. So far the Hawks have almost no dust at all.

so far, I've made a list of required (and potentially helpful) tools for this job:
7mm allen socket
8mm allen socket (both?)
21mm ribbed bolt?
turkey baster (for removing brake fluid during piston compression)
piston compression tool (can be rented)
rubber mallet
PB Blaster (what is this?)
what else? my pads and rotors should be here tomorrow. i have a road trip for a family reunion this weekend in NJ and I'm driving down from Boston. So I really need to be able to get this done tomorrow night or Thu night after work w/o hiccups. Thanks in advance!
