Default I torque them with the tire partially weight loaded.

My routine is to snug the lugs while the tire is in the air, then lower the vehicle enough so the tire touches the ground and won't spin, then torque.

I have found if you let the car all the way down and torque the bolts you can have problems.

Default Yes I would check for related problems, such as the caliper bushings needing

grease or badly deteriorated. Not everyone is diligent enough, BUT frequently customers think your only trying to pad the bill, it's a fine line.

Default Ahh a lot of catalogs list the A6 pad for the allroad as well

this is not the case as the location of the clips on the back are somewhat different. I had this problem myself early on. I ordered the A6 pads and cut the clips off the stockers and welded them on the new pads. Worked until the correct pads were available

I'd prefer thorough in one trip vs. having to return again and again...

Default Mine are already "done" when I double check them, I just make sure they are not too tight or too

loose, the last time they had the wheels off two days later one was so loose it was wobbling

Ah, a professional technique. Now I really need a floor jack, as if I have room for one.

Default Caliper problem.... Piston retraction not correct... sticking. Making the pad

deposit unevenly on the rotor...making a vibration.
