can someone explain the difference between a window regulator and the window motor?

i took the motor apart, there is a circuit board that must be doing the load sensing you are talking
about, window goes up without stopping the 1st 2 or 3 times i try raising it before it stops going up all the way. this should be fine, who raises and lowers window over and over again in a short period of time anyway. i think i am being overly ****. : )
the back part of the window doesn't go down as low as passenger side anymore(stops about an 1/8 of an inch short), must have stretched cables in regulator a bit.
have you ever done a limited slip diff in an audi rear? how about the center torsen diff? was thinking about doing the stasis center and rear diffs.
