when I start her up only...but not like the Dentist (I really hate to go so I would definitely know that sound)...but this am (it was much cooler than it has been) it was almost musical...no I'm really not losing it, just describing the sound...not a fan type of sound, but one I hadn't ever heard before and worried that it might be the turbos, but mine usually don't do anything until they are warmed up...I am pretty fanatical (I know this is controversial and almost caused a riot on the RS4 board) about warming up the car before I take off and I have had very little turbo lag either...I guess a little paranoia is a good thing....or as Kissinger once said "I'm not paranoid, I KNOW everyone is out to get me"

the quitting time siren?
TL sound a bit like that..at lease when she visited me she did. And a lot of smoke joined her a day later.

If you have to ask...your turbo's are fine.
You will KNOW when the sound is terminal. If you knew nothing about cars at all....you would still know when the turbo's are dead.
At a shop with turbo's....looking at about $4,000. Add a couple more thousand at a dealer.

in which case I would just sit back and enjoy the tune. Someone else will no doubt chime in but IIRC this is a pig to swap and is not really important.
