Default Changing collant sensor

Ok,

so can someone tell me what the trick is to getting the plug off of the sensor. I could not do it then was going to pull the sensor our with the plug still on and I could not get it to budge. Yes I took the clip out, but it seems frozen. I did not want use force and break anything. I tried to do a search for the Kris Hansen write up but could not find it.

Default I got that far

a had a difficult time getting the connector off. Is is simply getting it over that on tab on the sensor? Do this with an ordinary small screw driver? The sensor itself was frozen in there. If I got the connector off, I would go at it with a set of channel locks to twist it out.

This is a picture of the sensor you are trying to take apart correct?

You need to stick a flat blade screwdriver down through the slot to unhinged the electrical connector from the built in hump on the coolant sensor, you should then be able to pull the electical connector off the sensor.

I take 90 degree scribe and stick it in the square opening and under the tab to get those connectors off.

I'll post a pic:
